We are the Alexanders, for all of 2 months, but we'll tell you about the wedding in a later blog post. Our journey has just begun and we want to share it with you. Since we got together we have barely been able to leave each other’s sides. We met in just the third grade, and grew up in similar friend circles through high school. We did not discover our love until we returned back to Tulsa, Oklahoma after college. Those same high school friends we shared pushed us back together. I had a "glow up" since I had last seen her and actually stood a chance at winning her over, which I luckily did considering she is way out of my league, and we were engaged December 23, 2020.
Our wild spirits and shared desire to experience all that this crazy, beautiful world has to offer led us to start our adventure. We fell deeply in love and can’t imagine life without each other. We feed the adventuring fire within one another. We love all forms of travel. We have been snowboarding in the mountains of Colorado, kayaking through the mangroves of Puerto Rico, and living out of a hotel in downtown Manhattan. Each of those where uniquely incredible, and it is only scratching the surface of our travels.
These are a few of the things that spurred us to purchase a motorhome and begin living full time in it. With our house on wheels we are able to move place to place with Tierneys' work. She is a Registered Nurse working in the Intensive Care Unit on travel assignments around the United States. Right now we are in California, just outside of Los Angeles, while Tierney helps with the COVID-19 pandemic at a nearby hospital. I (Kyle) am an ex-personal trainer turned digital marketing specialist working remotely and trying to get my own business off of the ground. We are parents to two very energetic dogs, a Siberian Husky named Kita and a Border Collie Mix named Niko. We love our lives together and the amazing traveling we get to do. We hope that our sharing will inspire you to take that leap you have always wanted to. Life is too short and filled with boredom to not be doing what you love.
This blog will be used to give you tips on travel, motorhome living, hiking, camping, workouts, and who knows, maybe even recipes one day. We are still new to this and finding our perfected voice, but to begin we will be sharing our past travels and the full remodel of our motorhome, Roo.
